We are Qwehli, renowned as the fishmonger of the chefs, and we supply seafood to elegant tables throughout the world for over 12 years.

Based in the port of Lorient in Brittany, France, we are a family business from the world of fishing and aquaculture. We put our expertise and know-how at the service of the most elegant tables around the world, for over 12 years. Today we are coming to your kitchens.

 


SELECTION IS AN ART

We meticulously select each product, caught in the right place, at the right time and in the best possible way. We work directly with fishermen and farms who care about the oceans, who use fishing methods minimizing the impact on marine resources and respect the seosonality.
For us, seasonality and respect of marine resources make quality and taste. Same as fruits or veggies, there are also seasons when it comes to seafood.

 

BRITTANY: FISHERMEN'S TERRITORY

Our plant is based on the port of Lorient, 2nd French fishing port, and a strategic location to access the best seafood. It was essential for us to work the products as quickly as possible, just after they came out of the water to preserve maximum freshness. Our products are hand threaded, trimmed and checked thanks to the know-how of our team and dedicated partners in order to provide our customers high quality products.

Each Qwehli product has its own method of conservation: Frozen on board or Quick frozen for prawns or our in-house technology, the CAS Fresh® system for fish. Our conviction is that the ultimate freshness of sea products can only be guaranteed thanks to negative cold storage. This is why we use the best freezing techniques in the world today.
